In a world cluttered with online mediocrities, I am a food blogger helping people find authentic cuisine experiences when abroad or at home. I am a foodie based in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, Vietnam where I work and live in this culinary paradise. It has become my full time hobby to rooting out the tourist traps and give people access to the best local food Dong can buy.

Foodie:

A person that spends a keen amount of attention and energy on knowing the ingredients of food. At Streatery Vietnam we love discovering  the proper preparation of food, and find great enjoyment in top-notch ingredients and exemplary preparation. A foodie is not necessarily a food snob, only enjoying delicacies and/or food items difficult to obtain. To be a foodie in Saigon, is to live in paradise.

As a food blogger, Ho Chi Minh City, or more commonly known as Saigon,  is unparalleled when it comes to food diversity. The local cuisine is absolutely fantastic. Furthermore as the cultural and financial heart of Vietnam, this city offers the best of the whole country. No matter what alley you find yourself on, in whatever district or quarter there will be a smiling local serving up plates of delicious and sometimes strange local dishes.

Homesick? Shockingly to some, Saigon has a diversity of top-notch worldwide cuisine that is comparable to any international metropolis. Having recovered from thousands of years of invasions and wars, Vietnam is finally at peace, autonomous and booming. For being part of the “developing world” the variety of food hailing from outside its boarders is impressive to say the least: From juicy delicious burgers, American style? French Style? Saigon has it all. Middle eastern food, Mexican, French, Moroccan, Greek, Spanish. From Pizza to Greek food, the list goes on and on, you can find most cuisines if you know where to look, and this page is a good start.
