Saigon night is an extremely popular, all-in-one restaurant offering a huge menu of local Vietnamese cuisine, including appetizers, Vietnamese salads, BBQ and hotpot. The selection of proteins ranges from frog, beef, goat, boar, and rabbit all the way to an impressive selection of seafood. Charmingly, the crowd that you will find yourself sitting next to is as diverse and eccentric as the menu of local Vietnamese cuisine is. Your occasional backpacker who has accidentally stumbled upon the establishment and was attracted by the sounds of the live music and smell of the food; The group of disingenuous businessmen accompanied by their stiletto-wearing mistresses; on any given night, you’ll find it all.

An eccentric crowd & vibrant atmoshphere.
You will fine poets and musicians, seemingly discussing the meaning of life, and entertaining his/her group of friends. All this comes with traditional Vietnamese soul music from a bygone era creating an unbeatable ambiance.
Surprisingly, considering the reasonable prices of the dishes, this establishment seems to attract members of Vietnam’s elite, visible by the collection of luxury sedans parked across the street. The atmosphere is unbeatable as you sit on a small chair and table on the sidewalk of Nguyễn Trung Trực street. You’ll find yourself entertained by passing vocalists and magicians working the lively Ho Chi Minh nightlife. The menu is massive, and everything is bound to be phenomenal, however some of our favorite dishes are:
|Simmered rabbit in coconut milk (thỏ xào lăn)
|Fried rice with garlic (cơm chiên tỏi)
|Wild boar, simmered in Cocunut milk (heo rừng xào lăn)
|Red Tilapia steamed hong kong style (Cá Diêu Hồng hấp Hồng Kông)
|Grouper* (Cá bống mú)
|Market Price ( 650K+/Kilo)
|Fried Baby Squid (Mực chiên trứng)
|Pork and shrimp spring rolls ( chả giò tôm)
*Grouper as prepared in Vietnam is one of our favorite fish. We recommend it served in Hotpot (lẩu), grilled (nướng) and steamed, Hong Kong style (hấp Hồng Kông)
NOTE: This restaurant specializes in the sauces served with a lot of the meats and fish, such as the coconut curries. Therefore we recommend ordering a plate of fried rice (garlic fried rice is our favorite) to soak up the delicious flavors.
