Vintage Cafes in Saigon
This forms part of our series on old vintage cafes in the city. You can find at least one in every district and most follow a similar trend. In detail, they are decorated similar to “ruin bars” in Europe with broken “pre-loved” objects and upcycled furniture. In Saigon, ironically, these charming old charming coffee shops attract a majority of young people. Those young people sick of traditional conservative culture and ready to integrate with the western ideals of openness and equality. These counter-culture youth show up at these old hipster cafes sporting old 35mm cameras and second-hand clothes.
